JLH Creative Enterprises, LLC was formed in December, 2009 by Chicago-based artist Jaime Lynn Henderson as a legal umbrella under which all her creative endeavors could operate (it was actually a Christmas gift from her boyfriend). From this platform, she conducts the business of being a professional working artist exhibiting and selling her multi-media works across the country in addition to pursuing commercial avenues for her work such as image licensing in the Beauty and Fashion Industry and illustrating for children's book, greeting card, stationery, and fashion design companies.
Envisioned as an endeavor supplemental to Henderson's professional fine art practice (www.jaimelynnhenderson.com) JLH Creative hones in on Henderson's love of glitzy, feminine fashion, beloved pets, and childlike, whimsical storytelling. It also allows her the pleasure of collaborating with clients to create a customized, unique, and spirited solution to their design challenges! A recent contestant on Season 1 of Bravo TV's "Work of Art: The Next Great Artist", Jaime Lynn Henderson is a multi-media artist currently living and working in Chicago, Illinois. She received her Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2009 and her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art from the University of Oklahoma in 2007. Her fantastical and imaginative paintings, collages, and photographs have been exhibited in numerous galleries and institutions across the Midwest including The Palomar Hotel, Art Chicago, NEXT, Centre for the Living Arts, Mobile, AL, IAO Gallery, Oklahoma City, the Philbrook Museum of Art, Tulsa, the Sullivan Galleries at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and Around the Coyote at the Splat Flats, Chicago, in an exhibition during which she was named the "Best New Artist Working on Paper" in 2009.
Born into a military family, Henderson spent much of her early years traveling; living for a short while in Hanau, Germany where her Father took her to see the breathtaking castles of Bavaria! Ever since then, her obsession with fairytales, glamour, romance, and delusions of grandeur has sky-rocketed and infiltrated every area of her creative life! She feels extremely blessed by God to have the most supportive family, church, boyfriend, and cocker spaniel a girl could dream of!
Presently, Henderson can be found working in her studio at the Merchandise Mart taking part in an ongoing residency made possible by the Chicago Artists' Coalition and working as an actress in independent films, major cable network television (including NBC and MTV), commercials, and even video game motion capturing! She's obsessed with following in her military Mom's foosteps and boasts a generations-old family sugar cookie recipe that will knock your socks off and spends her days awaiting the return of Mad Men and gallavanting around the Windy City with her pooch, Willie, and partner, Patrick.
